Are You A Focuser Or Jumper?

March 3rd, 2009 · No Comments

Do you Focus on One Program at a Time, only joining others if they can aid you with the one you are at present focusing on.

If you think a program is worth joining and you will be able to make money by promoting it you should ask yourself:

* Will it fit in with what else I am doing?
* Can it be advertised on an existing web site?
* Will I have to divert time or funds away from existing programs?
* Is it in opposition or complementary to existing programs?

If you can’t answer yes to the 1st 2 and no to the last 2 then you should not get involved with it.

But this only applies to programs that you rely on to provide you with an income you can live on. Obviously the more places you have to advertise in the better and these will definitely be incorporated into your main program.

UNLESS YOU ARE FOCUSED,

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUCCEED IN ANY BUSINESS.

Before you can Focus you have to decide what you want to Focus on. In other words what Niche is for you. More and more people are getting their own Hot Conference Room where they give training to their subscribers. I have one and you will be told how I came to do so and who supplies it in a later post.

The reason most people turn to Internet Marketing is because they want to give up making other people, be it an individual, or a large corporation rich and to be sure that they will not find themselves out of a job and want to be in charge of what they are doing.

My path was wanting to supplement my pension, as I am retired from outside work, but did not have enough money to do what I wanted to do. As with many others when they are starting out I came across Traffic Exchanges (information on these can be found on my advertising blog, which will be subject of another post) and was invited to get a web site done for me.

I thought that would be a good idea and got in touch with the person who had put the advert in volunteering to do so. He explained that he did it free as he earned his money from the affiliate programs that he put on it. Again, more of this in a later post.

He advised me to sign up for another program that advertised various Newsletters which people were told about and they clicked on them and were subscribed to them and their names were placed in the autoresponder belonging to the one they subscribed to.

When I joined I chose one and the person told me that the ad had been written by the owner of a program which she suggested I also joined. As it was free to do so I did so. The owner Julie Wolf had and still has a conference room and here she held, what she called a Focus Group.

She, like others kept her eyes open to see which programs she could add to her own and invited someone who belonged to it to come and tell us about it. One of those to do so was a Nigel Band. I joined the program he told us about.

About the time he did so Julie was moving away from what she had previously been doing and was doing other things. This did not fit in with what I was doing and when I was introduced to another program which was doing what I was concentrating on I joined them.

And the next post will be about them and what they supply.
